Info about
WBSO
WBSO is a discount on wage taxes, and is available for organizations that develop products, processes or software.
In other words: For technical innovation.
Product
The development of a new product may qualify for WBSO. However, the development must meet a number of conditions:
- The development is carried out by yourself, or employees of your company, and it must be a tangible product.
- There must be clear technical bottlenecks that are solved by you and/or your employees.
- The development must be technically new to your company. This means that there are technical risks associated with the project.
- There must be an idea of how you want to solve these technical problems.
Proces
The development of a new process can also qualify for the WBSO and, similar to the development of a product, several conditions must be met:
- The development is carried out by yourself, or your employees, and it must be a tangible process.
- There must be clear technical bottlenecks that are solved by you and/or your employees.
- The development must be technically new to your company. This means that there are technical risks associated with the project.
- There must be an idea of how you want to solve these technical problems.
Software
The development of software has an iterative character. To be eligible for WBSO, the project must be about actually writing software code. The description of models, the formulation of algorithms or the description of an architecture is not considered as the development of technically new software.
- The development coding of software activities are carried out by you yourself or your employees.
- There have to be clear software-related bottlenecks that have to be solved by you and/or your employees. For example, limitations in the framework have to be worked around.
- The software developed has to be new in the Netherlands or internationally.
- There has to be an idea of how the technical bottlenecks are going to be solved.
